About STK Legal

STK Legal, the core company of the STK Group, is a legal services firm that provides support in a wide variety of Japanese legal procedures both domestic and international. As a judicial scrivener corporation, our diverse professional team includes licensed judicial scriveners and administrative scriveners, as well as consultants who are native speakers of English, Chinese and Korean.

Our motto is, “No procedure is impossible.” Our experts are dedicated to offering the best service possible to solve cases however complicated they may be.

Founder & Representative Director

Masato Sasaki founded STK Legal in 2007 under the motto, “Some legal procedures are difficult, but nothing is impossible.” He is a licensed judicial scrivener accredited by Tokyo Summary Court.

By maintaining our challenging spirit and unbending standards of customer service, and specializing in successful completion of complex procedures that other firms cannot handle, the STK Group has grown to become a professional team of over 40 people with offices in Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, and Singapore.

Masato is a graduate of Chuo University and hails from Tokyo. He enjoys playing golf on the weekends.

Yongsu Gen 🇰🇷🇯🇵
Partner Administrative Scrivener

A lifelong resident of Tokyo, Yongsu Gen is Partner at STK Group and a licensed administrative scrivener. An expert in solving complex cross-border legal procedures, Yongsu has helped thousands with Japanese visa applications as well as inheritance procedures.

After graduating from Tokyo’s Wako University, Yongsu built a career as an administrative scrivener, joining the STK Group in 2007. With Korean roots giving him native ability with the Korean language, Yongsu is passionate about helping clients build meaningful business relationships in both Korea and Japan.

Kaori Ebiko 🇯🇵
Partner Judicial Scrivener

Kaori’s areas of focus are real estate and corporate legal affairs. She joined STK Legal in 2009 after graduating from Waseda University’s Faculty of Law. She is a licensed judicial scrivener accredited by Tokyo Summary Court, and is also a trust advisor accredited by the Japan Accountant Consulting Association.

Kaori has deep knowledge on asset management and inheritance consulting. On the weekends, she spends time playing basketball and badminton.

Satoshi Iseki 🇯🇵🇬🇧

Manager, Osaka Office

Satoshi Iseki is Partner at STK Group and Manager of the STK Group Osaka Office. Born in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, Satoshi spent 5 years living and working in Canada. After returning to Japan and receiving accreditation as a licensed judicial scrivener, Satoshi joined the STK Group in 2014.

With an analytical mind and a passion for problem solving, Satoshi is a seasoned expert in solving complex matters of inheritance. Outside of work, Satoshi enjoys playing the guitar and has experience as a professional musician.

Yasuhisa Hori 🇯🇵🇰🇷

Manager, Nagoya Office

Taking advantage of his accreditation both as judicial scrivener and administrative scrivener, Yasuhisa leverages a multi-faceted approach in providing support to clients. He is accredited by Tokyo Summary Court.

He joined STK Legal in 2014 as an expert in real estate registration.

Haruko Nakamura 🇯🇵🇬🇧

Haruko offers support primarily in real estate registration, corporate registration, and legal services for foreign nationals. Prior to joining STK Legal in 2017, she built her career in government service and judicial scrivener offices. She is an accredited judicial scrivener certified by Tokyo Summary Court.

Haruko is particularly strong in negotiations on inheritance registration, and is deeply experienced in international support. She enjoys practicing yoga.

Takeru Hirooka 🇯🇵

Takeru’s area of expertise is real estate registration and closing procedures. He joined STK Legal in 2017. He has accreditation as a judicial scrivener and administrative scrivener.

He has encyclopaedic expertise in real estate registration. In his free time, he likes to collect record, play the guitar, and enjoys playing golf.

Teruaki Nakamura 🇯🇵

Teruaki mainly supports real estate transactions and registration of inheritance. Before joining STK Legal in 2018, he gained experience in a real estate survey firm.

His diverse perspective stems from his expertise not only in real estate but also in civil and commercial law. Teruaki is an avid cyclist but also a foodie.

Shinobu Kenjo 🇯🇵

Shinobu supports real estate registration and inheritance procedures. She joined STK Legal in 2009.

She has over 10 years of experience as a consultant solving complex inheritance related issues. Outside of work, she enjoys walking and gourmet food.

Lihua Cui

A native of Heilongjiang Province, China, Lihua enjoys helping clients using her native-level Chinese and Korean language ability. Lihua joined the STK Group in 2016 after graduating from Kanagawa University in Yokohama.

Lihua is a student of Qigong, an ancient Chinese exercise and healing technique, and also enjoys watching Japanese and Chinese comedy.

Yuan Zhong

With fluent language ability in English and Japanese, Yuan is in charge of clients and asset from the Greater China area. Yuan joined the STK Group in 2018 after graduating from Keio University Law School with an LL.M. in Global Legal Studies.

Yuan obtained his BA in Translation and International Laws from China Foreign Affairs University and spent time studying abroad at University of California, Berkeley. On his days off he enjoys discovering amateur comic works in Akihabara and taking short train tours.
